HALF SHOULDER STAND-
Place a carpet near the wall and lay on your back with your buttocks close to the wall and your feet flat on the wall. If you prefer, you can put a pillow under your buttocks to create a steeper slope (this will also make it more comfortable for the lower back). Make sure your back, shoulders and neck are in a comfortable position. (If you have high blood pressure, the position may be a little difficult at first because you will feel the pressure in the head. Ask your doctor to see if he agrees to do so.) Now there are four stages to this exercise:
a) While lying in this position, inhale slowly raising his hands above his head until it rested on the floor behind the head. Hold your breath in this position for several seconds, then lower your hands behind your hand when you exhale. This movement can be practiced in harmony with the spirit of five to ten times in the rhythm, you feel more comfortable. A good rhythm is to have an inhalation retention, equality and breathing. So you can breathe a count of three, hold for three, and encouragement for three.
b) In the next stage, you are taking inhaled deeply and then turn the head to the right, keeping the head in contact with the mat and held her breath. Hold your breath for a few seconds and then release the head back to center again. Then take another puff and turn your head to the left, hold a few seconds and exhale back to center. This exercise can also practice breathing with the respiratory rate by three, the father of three children and three shooting. One should always breathe slowly and deeply as possible, without forcing the breath.
c) In the third stage, just breathe slowly and deeply with the concentration of inhalation and exhalation. Never force the breath, but breathe slowly and deeply as comfortably possible. In each respiratory allows the neck, shoulders and eyes relax. Take 5 to 20 deep breaths, in accordance with its capacity. Breathing is more effective if rhythmic breathing with the relationship in which the inhalation, retention and respiration of the same length.
d) In the final stage just stay in this position with your feet on the wall and let our shoulders, neck and head to relax as much as possible. It should pay particular attention to the eye area and the central front. If there is tension in the eyes, we can place the palms over the eyes gently and let the energy flow in the hands of peace and relax your eyes and forehead. The palm can be left in this position for ten minutes if we have time and inclination. Relax in this position, with or without a hand in this position as long as we feel comfortable.
Advantages: It is obvious that this exercise helps to carry blood to the head, shoulders, neck and eyes. Playing from the neck from side to side to open the neck and stimulates the thyroid gland. This is a wonderful place to relax and good for the legs like that of the head. Rhythmic breathing to allow for greater oxygenation and relaxation and rejuvenation of the nervous system, endocrine and immune system and mind.
